Terms of Service

Welcome to Muslims United PAC (“MUPAC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website at muslimsunitedpac.com (the “Site”), signing up for text messages, or engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or services.

1. About MUPAC

Muslims United PAC is a federally registered Political Action Committee and a 527 tax-exempt organization registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Donations to MUPAC are not tax-deductible. Contributions must come from U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are at least 18 years of age, made from personal funds, and not from federal contractors.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to use our services, make donations, or opt in to text messaging. By using our Site, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Text Messaging Program (Twilio 10DLC)

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated promotional and informational text messages from Muslims United PAC via Twilio's 10DLC messaging platform. Specifically:

  • Message frequency varies and is at our discretion.
  • Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
  • Text STOP at any time to opt out of future messages.
  • Text HELP for assistance or contact us at info@muslimsunitedpac.com.
  • Your mobile carrier is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Consent is not a condition of any purchase or donation.

We use Twilio as our SMS delivery provider. Your phone number and message data are processed by Twilio in accordance with their privacy practices. You can review Twilio's privacy policy at twilio.com/legal/privacy.

4. Donations

All donations are subject to FEC regulations. We are required to collect and report certain donor information, including name, address, occupation, and employer for contributions exceeding $200 per election cycle. Donations are final and non-refundable unless required by law.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Muslims United PAC or its content suppliers and is protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. MUPAC makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Site's operation or the accuracy of its content.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MUPAC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or services.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict of law principles.


Privacy Policy

Muslims United PAC (“MUPAC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

a. Information You Provide

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, date of birth.
  • Donation Information: Credit card details (processed securely by our payment processor), occupation, employer (as required by the FEC for contributions over $200).
  • Communication Preferences: Email and SMS opt-in status.

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information.
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and click-through data.
  • Location data (city/state level, based on IP address).

c. SMS/Text Message Data (Twilio)

When you opt in to text messaging, we collect and process your mobile phone number through Twilio's platform. Message content and delivery status are stored for compliance and quality purposes. Twilio acts as our data processor under our instructions.

2. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience, analyze traffic, and personalize content. Specifically:

  • Service Providers: Twilio (SMS), payment processors, email platforms, and analytics providers who are contractually bound to protect your data.

5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the personal information we have collected about you, including categories, sources, purposes, and third parties with whom it is shared.
  • Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., FEC reporting requirements, legal obligations).

We retain personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations (including FEC record-keeping requirements), and resolve disputes. FEC-regulated donation records must be retained for the period required by federal law.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Site and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
